Hi Liz,

Smart move to go ahead and sign up with the affiliate programs. We have ePN, Amazon, Clickbank, Commission Junction, Chitika and Linkshare ... as well as being able to use Adsense and Yahoo. I suggest to go ahead and get signed up with all of these. It takes a little longer and its a little harder to get accepted by ePN ... but it is also the fastest money earner so well worth the effort. When you get ready to join send me an email ... maybe can sneak you in the back door :) shhhh!

Hi Linda,

I will be buying the product when it is released again, meanwhile please advise what accounts I need to get set up.

Adsense, etc, as from what I gather you have to enter these codes at the star of the set up ?
Thanks

Hi Wayne,

I edited your comment above because that's something that should only be posted on the WPMage forum. I hope you understand.

To answer your question ... if you only want English you do not have to use any code ... not even "en".

Try that. If you have problems, post on the Mage forum and I'll help you further.

Hi Linda

Refering to the previous post, I have just created a Mage site making sure not to translate but use En/EN. Here is a copy of the field in the WP site, Setting and then Posting Mage for a site where I used translation and the second one I did not translate.

[removed the code]

They are both the same. Have I got something wrong here?

Thanks

Hi Linda

Thanks for a great site!

I have now stopped using the translator in Mage. But as for my earlier Mage sites, is it possible to repost and remove the translations? And if so how do you go about doing this? Also to leave out the translation when doing a Mage site, do you leave the field empty, or do you need to put EN/EN

I would also like to grow a list using Mage and Aweber. Do you know how to place an opt in on all the pages you create.

Thanks

Thanks, Luke. I'm glad you stopped by.

Yes. I am talking only about the translate feature in WPmage. Global Translator is a great tool that will make you even more Adsense dollars. But you are not skewing the content; you are offering to allow visitors to read it in their language.

That's entirely different from the translator feature in the Mage. As far as I know there's nothing in Adsense TOS that is against putting their ads on a true translation of the page.

But, they are absolutely against junk or spam pages ...

So am I :)

Cheers!

Hey Ivanfleet, Nice blog you have here!

Just to clarify your point about not translating for adsense content... There are some plugins out there (Such as Global Translator) that produce multiple versions of the content on your site, translating your english pages into to french and spanish, etc., too...

Just to clarify, you were speaking of content mages' ability to translate a article away from English and then back into it it again, for uniqueness' sake, and not of producing multiple translations at once... Right?

Do you know of anything in Adsense' terms or otherwise that would prohibit putting adsense blocks on pages that are simply translated and exist beside their original pages?

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Anita,

You create posts without using any of the regular monetization methods (eBay, Amazon, CJ or Overstock, etc.). Rather, you just post articles and use Adsense to monetize the posts.

The WPMage comes packaged with the WhyDoWork Adsense plugin that you can customize with your own Adsense code. If you use the CPMage all you need to do is put your pub-ID in the core options and, when you generate the posts, your WhyDoWork plugin should be configured with your Adsense code. You may still need to set up the options, though.

In the near future I will do a followup post on this, showing screenshots on how to set up the whydowork plugin. Will that help?
